Bum Situation

I was having coffee and frappes with friends just today... well, everything for "breakfast" technically. I finally have accumulated all the necessary stuffs together with coffee and frappes.
Here are the photos taken with my other cellphone:

Hmm.. I don't really have much to blog about...I'm still uhmmm jobless LOL! And reading lots of books. Really really enjoying that...if anyone has any good recommendations let me know....I'm always open to suggestions.

On another note... I really really do need to find a job. I think I need to sit down and make a list of all the things that I can do...and want to do...and maybe the things I don't want to do....I wish I could get a job making lists because I'm really good at that LOL (sarcasm...........). I've been living for the past year making calls and making money online to survive but nothing really secure. It really sucks trying to figure yourself out...especially when you're slightly co-dependent. I feel like I always need advice, even if I don't listen to it. Ha!

Also, i'm busy texting my boyfriend. God, I miss him already! Though he will be gone for a day because he has a photoshoot somewhere in Guimaras Island. Did I mention he is in a photography class? That's his new hobby. He's now having a good quality time with his cameras. But how about me? Well, I'm his great subject.!
I hope he comes back in the evening so we can go out and party.

On a nicer note.. I'm really excited for the upcoming things (which I can't tell you guys yet). I promise to blog about it soon.

Hush Just Yet

Ya know when you have something really exciting to tell everyone but you can't share it just yet? Yeah, I have one of those today. I just can't say anything about it YET.

On a brighter note:
My boyfriend has been really supportive. He helps me with a lot of things. And I really thank him for his support on certain issues I have been dealing with lately.

I am still in the very earliest stages with everything...I will keep you updated as I know more.

I'm a Bum! (just for now)

So I lost my job. Boo. I was about to pass my resignation letter though. It wasn't just me. But a close friend as well. Working with that company has been a whirlwind. I will miss some people there, for sure. They are hella crazy! Hehehe.

I texted my boss, and thanked him for everything. It has been a great pleasure working with him. Sorry, I just can't put the name of the company here. Not yet.

I will tell you the complete details as soon as I'm done with the new project I'm doing as of the moment. It is what is keeping me busy. I will still be here, to keep you updated.

One thing for sure, I won't be a bum forever.

P.S
I know some people at (insert company name here) drop in my blog to snoop at me. Heheh.

My sister (she's in Canada) just called, only to complain why I haven't added her in my Friendster. Sweet. hahaha. I told her she has to send me a friend request first. harhar. And now that she's my friend on Friendster, I grabbed these photos:

What Makes My Ears Happy?

There is a ton of music out right now. and I will give you a list of what I have been listening to lately. [this is not a sponsored post].

1. Man Man (Rabbit Habits) - horn flourishes, accordion, fiddle, crashing percussion, and xylophones that will make you picture skeletons dancing, this album walks a fine line between artistry and kitsch.

2. Portishead (Third) - I love listening to Portishead since I was in high school. Whoah. the band hasn’t been living in a time capsule for the last 11 years. Darker, heavier, and with far different timbres, the only recognizable elements are Beth Gibbons’ expressive, quavery voice and a general commitment to innovation.

3. Black Mountain (In The Future) - this album takes a tour through the best of rock-and-roll history. If you're into Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Doors and Black Sabbath.. man oh man, you gotta listen to this album!

So, tell me what grinds your ears?

11th Monthsary

[May 24th, 5:05AM]
Lately, Hec and I had a series of deep, interesting and funny convo (slang for conversation). He expressed to me things I didn't know. I also did the same, I told him things he didn't know I was conflicted with. And for doing so, I got more lovin' and surprises and teases from him until I got pikon, he he he. He's the kind of person that gives you a hint as to what is on his mind...and then you have to beat at him for the rest. Or for something more specific.

Good conversations... good laugh... all fun.
Happy 11th to us!

Boycott to the Presence of Guillermo Vargas "Habacuc"

Please sign the petition.

I got an email from a friend to sign the petition for an art exhibit in November featuring "artist" Guillermo Vargas "Habacuc" in the Bienal Centroamericana Honduras 2008. Vargas won this spot by exhibiting a stray dog tied up in a gallary and starving it to death while people looked on.

Below are the pictures of the poor dog:

THIS IS NOT ART! In my opinion, art is impossible to define but when you harm someone or something without permission we have to draw a line. This can not be allowed and he should not be rewarded for his first "exhibit" by letting him do this again. I already have signed and thoroughly commented the petition against this asshat. I was glad to see that there were 1287670 signatures ahead of mine.

What a sick f*ck! Time to punch some f*cker in the face!

Please sign the petition to have him removed from the Bienal Centroamericana Honduras 2008 exhibition. Thanks.

Get Involved

I want to be a voice for things that don't have a voice. Like bringing awareness to animal cruelty (like of PETA), how to help end poverty and hunger, especially in the third world countries. However, I'm very limited in knowledge of where to go to get involved or be a part of a cause. I want to try to join a group here, but can't seem to find out where. I have found some links already. But can you guys please recommend some more links to check out, or the names of the groups to join that are associated with this? I might as well join a campaign if I can.

And through blogging, I hope I could make a difference.

Gladiators - New Season

Why did no one tell me about this?!

Well..this is how I remember it.

I used to love Jet and Lightning, I just couldn't find pictures anywhere (decent ones). I always wanted to be a gladiator. Hahahaha!

Now I need to find a friend with SkyOne.

Weekend at the Aquarium

My weekend was amazing and sooo much fun. We hit the Flow, had some really good friends who went out with us on Saturday for pizza and booze! Unfortunately, they didn't stay longer for the last summer party. Hecky poo and I headed to the Aquarium, we partied, we danced (you could have seen him dance he he he :p), and we got drunk. We were like glam superstars, having a good time without the Paparazzis around lol.

'Twas all fun. I think one of the best we've had in a while.

We have new pics.. but you have to be special to see them. He he he.

In other less fun news..I am very very sick today.

This flu has been hanging around since this morning...and I'm pretty sure I am on my death bed. This is all making me very bored and tired. eek. The price of partying soo hard. lol.

Things I Kinda Dislike

I'm on a roll with this. Since I'm totally not in the mood right now, I figure I'll hit you guys up with a list of things that I dislike, ya know, in case you ever want to annoy me or something. wink
SPOILERS! (Click to view)

  • Vegetables makes me want to gag. Especially laswa (farmer's delight).

  • Wrinkly hands from showering or after taking a bath grosses me out. Extremely. Good thing my hands don't look like that after taking a bath.

  • I love water, but I can't swim. I'm terrified of drowning.

  • Drugs. I'll never force my beliefs on anyone because to each their own, but don't bring that shit around me.

  • I have no problem with pineapple flavoring. However, I hate the actual fruit in can, I hate foods with pineapple chunks. and I'm sure the feeling's mutual. But "fresh" pineapple is okay, and not canned. Do I make sense here? hahaha. Oh, eating a lot of oranges make me nauseous. However, I make myself eat them anyway he he he, simply because they're healthy. (Now pears: that's a different story. I love the texture in my mouth. They're darn yummy). I'm crazy, right?

  • Annoying people at work who simply drop in to snoop on me. Yeah, you're cool. Lurking is fantastic! Can I just say I love being virtually raped everyday on my page. Thanks so much for that! Sorry to rant about that, but a few people need a wake-up call.
  • when guys don't put the toilet seat down. Guys at work are sharing the toilet with the ladies because the men's toilet is broken.
  • People that try to find the worst in everyone (we're all human, believe it or not).

Worst of all...

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Linda Blair's Exorcist image is definitely my childhood fear (and still going strong). I still get squeamish when I hear her voice on TV. And even if I look at a picture, I'm guaranteed a nightmare that night. Some people think it's fun to tease me to the point of crying. This is my biggest fear. Weird, but I still love horror movies.

Mom's the Word

A mother always wants what's the best for her family. she is a strong woman who accepts struggle and hardships in order to provide a better life for her family. And that's what my mother is.

My Mom, who is a English Literature Teacher by profession imparted to us lessons more through her actions than through words - her love for books (especially Mythology). she has innate optimism and positive attitude despite life's vicissitudes. Her discipline and healthy lifestyle of simple foods, and early sleep which are still my shortcomings. And hail her total devotion to our family. The only thing that Mom doesn't know is to cook. She is a horrible cook! It is always my father who does the cooking.

Many people would say I am obviously my Mom's daughter, because we are both reasonable and I am my Mom's "carbon copy" as they would say it. We argue sometimes, but i think it's just normal.

She would raid my closet and gets mad at me for keeping very old clothes even for "trapo" (rags). My clothes will just disappear and the next thing I know, she already gave them to the less fortunate people in the neighborhood. but it also takes time for her to dispose her own stuffs. He he he. when she's at home, she would just watch TV, read books and play scrabble for entertainment. I am sometimes amused by my Mom's simplicity and can't imagine up to now, how she prepared many challenges that had come her way.

But wait, there's more! Hahaha!

She's a text addict too and she has loads of cool mp3s in her cellphone. Hah, you think my Mom's old-fashioned? Nah-ah. She likes singing to Ne-Yo's songs. One time, I was in awe when I heard her sang "Sexy Love"! Hahaha. Oh, she's also a big fan of the Spice Girls and Destiny's Child. So hip, he he he.

I love my Mom. She's my friend..my motivator..my teacher...she is everything to me. One of these days, I will go shopping with her, or even shop for her. unfortunately i haven't got her something in this special day. but i soon will. :)

But beyond flowers, gifts, greeting cards or restaurant dinners, I believe one of the best ways for us to truly honor our mothers is to heed their lessons and to make the most of our lives.

US President Abraham Lincoln once said, "Everything I am or even hope to be, I owe to my angel mother".

To all the moms reading this post, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Useless Post

I have been in a terrible mood, so communication has been extra hard to do. I am not going to say much with this post. All I have to say is, for now . . .

Work Sucks!

And I'm still severely anti-social. not many of you know that I've been pretty much of a slacker lately.

Argh.. I hate to make useless posts like this, but I just want to make a note that I'm not gonna ignore this blog. :D

Promise, I will post about something a wee bit more meaningful soon.

10 Facts About Me

I'm too tired to type what I had originally planned, so here's what you get to read instead: 10 facts about me!

  1. Growing up, I always thought it was the coolest thing to be short.

  2. My favorites colors are Green, White, and Red.

  3. If you want to buy me flowers: I like red and peach colored roses, and tiger lilies.

  4. I like popcorn...especially if it's caramel corn!

  5. People sometimes tell me that I look like a tiger. I guess I can see it. And yes, I will bite your head off, if need be. ;)

  6. I'm a hopeless romantic. Tough girl in solitude. I want to do it all. I'll be the cooler version of Barbie...with better hair and boobies. Ha ha ha!

  7. My first crush was Jim Morisson from The Doors. I was a whole 8 years old.

  8. Some of my truest friends turn out to be Aries. I'm supposed to be best with a Sagittarius and Gemini. I've had the best relationship with a Capricorn...and I will NEVER again date a Taurus or a Cancer. Sorry, blame your parents. Bleh! :p

  9. The wheels in my head constantly turn. I'm almost always thinking of something. My mind constantly links. You'll learn once you talk to me. My conversations can be entirely random sometimes. That's the reason why I have this blog - Arbitrary Thoughts.

  10. When I'm old and rich, my heart and money is also set on purchasing a 1957 Chevy Bel Air. (I love old cars, I can't stress it enough).

Life is Expensive

I have been relatively poor these past few weeks. I can't buy anything with the little money left in my wallet. Plus, I have to pay my dues next week. Arrghh. I don't want to ask money from my parents because I'm already working.. and I'm just shy to ask money from them. I should receive money from a couple of friends who owe me, but they can't pay me yet till the next payday.

Where did all my money go? hahaha. Phhbbt! But hey, I'm still lucky I'm not in the street. You know what I mean? I just don't understand. I don't spend my money in cigarettes, in drugs, in alcohol or nothing like that. I don't go out a lot now. Just the food and things for everyday life cost too much... It's just horrible.

If you want to help me, please do. I also accept donations. Thank You! :D

I never thought I would have to ask people to help me... that just feels horrible, really.

The Mirror Principle

The first person we must examine is ourselves.
First person I must know is myself.
First person to cause me problems is myself.
First person I must change is myself.

-John Maxwell
