And September Ends

September was filled with a lot of great activities that I haven't really had the chance to update everything on my blog. Posting about it would be awesome but some are better left unwritten.

So, I'll update through photos. :)

Catch-Up Time with Friends

Just came back home from meeting my friends today. The three of us are working from home and since we live near to each other, we've decided to have have a quick break from work. After all, it's been a while since Faith and I haven't seen each other and today was perfect for some 'catch-up time'.

I've been meeting my friends since I came back home in December..just because I miss them. :)

Long Weekend Fun

The long weekend is over. And this is how it consisted:

Saturday: Caught up with my friend, Joy. We watched a movie and talked about a lot of things. :)

Sunday: On Friday, Tita April mentioned she wanted to go to Leganes flea market to scour for used stuff, or as we call it "ukay-ukay". We scheduled to go there on Sunday. So she had me and Frau fetched from his driver and went to her house for breakfast.

"Early bird catches the worm". True. We arrived there around 7 AM, that's why we've found good stuff. the ones I've got are really in a good condition, and some.. haven't been used at all.

After the ukay-ukay, we went to the mall for lunch and we watched a movie. But I had to leave right after the movie to meet some friends.

Below are my friends from Savant

I've decided to stay home on Monday and watched some movies and got more sleep. I needed it.

Tuesday: Met Aireen for some important stuff. we went to G-10 to carwash and stayed at Griller's for dinner.

Thank you, holiday. :)

Movie Weekend

I've spent my weekend watching movies with friends. It just so happen that I had so much free time and my friends were available for movie dates.

I have been a big fan of Step Up movies, and Step Up Revolution is good. All the dance performances and the mobs were impressive, though the story line is not that huge but we all know it's not the story line we're after for any Step Up movies, right? It's the dance moves! :D

The Bourne Legacy is action packed. It's a slow start on the first hour of the movie and I only got excited when Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz teamed up. This is a really great movie for fans of Bourne. I mean, if you have watched all the Bourne franchises prior to The Bourne Legacy, then you'd know what I mean.

I love Merida, her red curly hair and her Scottish accent too! I really enjoyed the fairy tale feel of the film,  though the plot is predictable, but I'm not complaining 'cause this movie is mainly for kids and you can't expect kids to watch this having a lot of twist development, right?

So, that's how my weekend went. Hope everyone's weekend went well too. :)

Weekend Date with Friends

I had a great weekend so far. Watched movies and had coffee and dinner with friends.

Here's what my weekend consisted:

Friday - watched The Dark Knight Rises with Kristiane, then went to fuel.ph

Saturday - watched Magic Mike with her again.

Sunday - watched The Dark Knight Rises again. This time with another set of friends. :D

I am a huge Batman fan, Hec knows it. So I don't really mind watching it all over again. Besides, the movie was phenomenal. Go forth and watch it. It's worth it!

It wasn't a busy weekend but it was a fun one. Hope we could do it again next weekend!

Farewell 2010, Hello 2011!

Wow the whole 2010 has gone by real quick!

2010 is coming to a close. it has been a time. It has, without a doubt been a year of remarkable ups and downs. For the things that I went trhough, I could say that I didn't work hard on it, I just let it happen, because whenever I tried to.. it has become more difficult. My life has just shift its outlook. I had focused on the positive and doing one little thing around me, for my family, relationship and myself every day. It's just a matter of having good energy out, and good energy in. In some ways or another, I think I have developed a self-fulfilling prophecies, and focused on the positive rather than the negative which I had hoped to change those and have set in place for my self without even realizing it.

I have a lot of things to be thankful for, and since they are too many.. I will just make it short.
  • I have graduated with my Marketing course after almost 9 years of quitting school.
  • my ever supportive family
  • The never-ending love and patience of my boyfriend
  • a job that I love.
  • fulfilled some of my goals.
  • friends who stay no matter what
  • and gained new friends who I clicked with almost immediately.
Speaking of friends, I have lost some... but gained more. So I guess in 2011, I should be careful on who I should be friends with. Avoid people who would just take advantage of your kindness and then leave you hanging when you need them.

So, I guess this would be my last post for the year. 2010 has been momentous, productve, insane, intense, and relentless. There were horrible things happened in between but I'm glad I have gone through that. However, I still have some other things to look forward to year 2011.

So what are your resolutions for 2011? I honestly don't have any for the new year. I just try to do the same thing every year, and that's to:
  • stay healthy-ish (hehehe)
  • sorround myself with good/bad people (I'll say just to put a little contrast, tee-hee!)
  • good times, laugh, live, love.
Those are my ingredients for a fulfilled life and all that jazz. Hope you all do the same. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

Christmas 2010

Caution: Long post ahead.

I have been in a Christmas mood since the first day of December. Since then, I started getting gifts for my family and friends. I even bought presents for the last minute yesterday because I forgot to buy two of my godchildren their presents. I could say that Christmas shopping was getting to the best of me, though this Christmas rush makes me cracky. But I am not complaining.

The holidays really mean a lot to me and my family, though I see some people who think that the holidays mean "a lot of things" to them. They are kind of like superficial about the whole Christmas deal. BUT of course, there are also those who really feel it and get it from the heart.

So anyways, back to my Christmas; I have been excited about it since last month knowing that the bf is coming home. There were changes of plans and schedules of his homecoming due to some uncontrollable circumstances, but good thing he went home for Christmas.

December 23rd

So, bf arrived in Iloilo from Pampanga at 8:55pm. I fetched him at the Airport and went straight to their house for dinner. It was actually a celebration of his birthday, his homecoming and friends' Christmas party. His close friends were already there waiting for his arrival, and his mom welcomed us with warm hugs and kisses. we put our stuff inside first and went out to his friends. We had fun talking since his (some) friends are already my friends back then. Bf's mom then lead the prayer to start off dinner. After eating, we did the exchanged of gifts (per family, Hec and I was counted as one) - we got an electric kettle! And he gave it to me 'cause he knew I need it more than he does since I drink a lot of coffee. After the exchanged gifts, they (friends) opened up boozes, pulled out a case of beer, wines and rhum. As much as I wanted to drink, bf warned me not to. LOL! He told me that since the girls of his friends are not drinking, I should not drink too. LOL! How unfair was that? Anyways, I did not complain since I got myself busy talking with the girls...Caren, Val, and Vema. Then as the conversation went deep down to being future moms (Caren and Val are both one month preggers) Vema and I went like "We cannot relate" in a joking manner. Then later we sat by the boys' table and I couldn't help it but drank some wine and rhum. Eventually the girls joined in as well for a fun talk. It was already 2am (24th) when they left. I had to stay at bf's house for a sleepover.

Here are the photos on Dec. 23:

December 24

Hec woke me up around 8 am for breakfast, but I could hardly open up my eyes and lazy to get up as I was still sleepy, but I had too. So, Hec, his mom, his sister (btw, we were grade school classmates in Assumption), and his brother sat and talk over breakfast. So right there and then, his mom asked us about our plans, if I could stay in Pampanga maybe for good. Well, we replied that we will have to talk about it, but try not to be compulsive with planning. We assured her and ourselves as well that we will do it one at a time. So, after lunch, went to the mall for a little stroll, and went on our separate ways around the mall since each one of us has something to buy, while Hec was about to see his kids, who happened to be at the mall that day as well. Then the five of us met up at Yellow Cab for lunch.

While we were eating, his sister was complaning of the rashes all over her arms, neck and parts of her face. Then her mom said to have it checked to the nearest doc/clinic. I suggested that we could have it check at Iloilo Doctor's clinic at the ground level of the mall, and see if my cousin was there. Unfortunately, there were no doctors available that day. So we decided to head off St. Paul's Hospital for the check up. We stayed there for like 2 hours waiting for the result, but I had to go home since I have to help prepare stuff at home for mom's surprise birthday celeb on Christmas day. It has been 4pm already when bf texted that they are still the hospital waiting for the results. It was past 5pm when he said that the results came in and it was dengue. But he said his sister wanted to take a second test the next day. After the second test, it was still the same result so, they admitted her to the hospital right away.

December 25

My siblings and I prepared a surprise party for my mom on her Christmas birthday. So after we came back home from church for the 11pm (December 24 mass) and ended at 12 midnight (December 25), we went home straight and took out everything for our surprise. We had to wake up our mom just to surprise her. She really really had no idea we prepared for this. She has not seen any food, and some stuff days before her birthday because my siblings and I were good at hiding them. We put the food and cake in our refrigerator and labeled them as our neighbors' food. My mom is already 61 years old, and she was happily surprised that day. The celebration continued the whole day at home, but I had to leave the house before lunch time to meet some of my friends and godchildren for their presents.

After meeting my friends, Hec and I met up.. just right after he met with his kids, then we went to the hospital to visit her sister who was admitted for possible dengue. I stayed there for a while and had a chit chat with his mom as well. But I had to leave before 8pm since there was still an ongoing party for mom.

December 26

Hec is going back to Pampanga, unfortunately, he had to go back to work. The holidays is over. :( sad. So later in the afternoon, I have to go with bringing him to the airport. We always wished that he could extend his vacay until New Year but the company is not allowing him. But that is ok because I will be visiting him next year.

That was my holidays so far. for the upcoming days, there are events and family Christmas Party (mom's side) that i will be attending to. And so 'tis the season to gain weight! LOL! Christmas 2010 has been awesome to have celebrated it family, bf, and friends. Sadly, it has to come to an end. aww :(

But I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays as much as I did!

Met New People

I've meet new people recently, and they are so cool that I can talk about stuff and about our common interests. Only that they smoke and drink too much. The drinking part is OK, since I can drown myself with booze with them, but the smoking part is the thing I can no longer take since I quit smoking long time ago. Other than that, those people are smart, witty and have useful perspective and also isn't creepy. Bah!

Hope I could hang out with them again soon. Work has been keeping me busy, and I have to be. so that I can enjoy the holidays and get a few days leave when bf comes home. woot!

HRA Batch '93 - Reunited!

It has been 17 years that I graduated from grade school at Holy Rosary Academy (I transferred there from Assumption Convent, Iloilo, from Grades 4-6) and yesterday, though it rained (seriously, it didn't stop a sec) we still had to push through with our little reunion. I was totally shocked to see the major transformation of our two class mates. They were "boys" back then, now they are one of the girls, LOL! We really had a great time and talked about a lot of stuffs from grade school to our present lives. 'Twas nice to see them again.

Here are a few photos:

There were some that we expected to come but didn't due to some important matters. So hopefully next year we can do it again since some are coming home, and hopefully we'll have it grand.

Trust and Respect

I just learned today that my guy friend, who is in a relationship with his girlfriend for 8 years broke up with him. I feel even more sad when my guy friend talked to me about what happened. Well, the reason he said is that her girlfriend has been worried, paranoid and lost the trust already. I actually know that my friend has been cheating on her girlfriend, and he told me that their 8 year relationship has become boring already, but he still love her girlfriend. What I just don't get it, he cheated on her girlfriend, got bored with the relationship, and yet he still love her? Because for me, if you really your partner, you wouldn't do anything to hurt him/her, right? There are always two sides to every story, so I don't blame any of them. I just hope that they could still mend the relationship. I was just there when he needed someone to talk to (over a bottle of beer). Since I knew that he was cheating with his girl, I always tell him to at least give a little respect. But who am I to say, I am just a friend.

Trust and respect for me is the most critical elements in a relationship. They are like a currency that no money can buy. So without them, no relationship will last long. Couples must earn that and making their words as their bond. If trust and respect is lost, it is hard to get back, and things won't be the same again. So guard it carefully.

Old Friends Are Irreplaceable

I had a good day yesterday despite of the heavy rain, but it didn't stop me from seeing my friends. We watched the movie You Again. It was a fun movie..well.. more of a chick flick, but we enjoyed it. We hang out a little bit more after watching a movie, had a fun chit chat and took pictures. They are my good and bad time friends, they are the ones who tells me that I'm doing good, I've done a great job, or I'm crazy, I'm being a bitch, lame and all other stuff. Even if what they say could hurt me, I do not feel offended because for me, good friends are like that. They are true and faithful. Of course, I do the same to them. We laugh together, and cry together. They are my die hard friends.

You know, I have different kinds of friends, or should I say.. circle of friends. There are times I would hang out with my all boys friends, younger friends, older friends, gay friends, work friends, friends whom I share the same genre of music and interest, internet friends, high school friends, and the like. The only thing I'm not stoked on right now is that I don't see all of them very much. I see my die hard best friends fairly regularly, but it would be awesome to see some people that you like a lot, but only see when you're both at the same social event. I never see them anymore and that is kind of a bummer. Some already have moved or out of the country. I'm just glad there is Facebook.

Old friends are not replaceable. I hope someday we all get to hang out again together. :)

Splendid Weekend

I had a great weekend spent with friends. My gay friend Raymund came home from Manila, he brought his girl friend with him for a short vacay, but it was worth remembering for. So, we went bar hopping, party, booze and non stop eating for 3 days and 2 nights. I feel like I gained so much weight already. LOL! Hope we could do it again sometime soon!

So now my body is kind of sore and I badly need a massage. But I'm not complaining, because I have a wonderful weekend.

Manila and Pampanga Arrival

I left Iloilo City at around 7:05 am - my departure flight and arrived in Manila at 8:10am. It was sunny in Iloilo when I left, but it was raining in Manila when I arrived. I was still in the plane when I thought Manila is gloomy. Well anyway, it was Raymund (my gay friend) who arrived first at the NAIA airport, while my boyfie was stillon its way.. we didn't wait any longer since he was like 15 minutes away from the airport. Then we had breakfast at KFC (my favorite fastfood), and stayed there for like 45 minutes waiting for the rain to stop, then we went to the Manila Ocean Park (as planned few months back). It rained again, so we hurriedly went inside to get our tickets. It was a Sunday, so as expected, the crowd in unbearable.. but even so, we still had a great time. Raymund and bf enjoyed the time we had at the Ocean Park, however, we took only a few photos since it was crowded.

After the Manila Ocean Park, we decided to go home in Pampanga because I was already tired I need a good sleep. Upon arriving home at 2:30 pm, I took a shower and went straight to bed, boyfie woke me up at 6pm because we need to buy some stuff at the mall. Though I was still sleepy, I had to be up to go with him, plus I was hungry so I had to eat!

It was a long day alright, but it was fun! I will be here in Pampanga for a month. This is going to be a long vacay.. and I have been waiting for this. :)

P.S
Pictures will be posted maybe later..laptop cannot read my memory card, so I have to buy a memory card reader so that I can upload photos.

Comforting A Crying Person

One thing I asked myself today: How can I comfort a crying person? Sometimes, when a person comes up to me and see the person cry a whole lot, I always switch to robo autopilot. Most of the time, I'd just listen.. I do not give advices to people if they won't ask for it, just to avoid the blame, like "Ï don't need your advice", or "I didn't ask you for an advice"or things like that. Because some people would just want you to listen to their problems/issues. If they ask for me for advice, I'd give the best advice I could give.

*pat, pat* "there, it'll be ok. I'll buy you alcohol, ok?" - the best advice from me. LOL! Anyway, hope my friend is ok now. though the news shocked me big time.

On a brighter side of things:
6 more days to go, and I'll see the bf again. He's coming home on the 24th. And 7 more days to go til Christmas and mom's birthday. I'm also excited for the opening of presents! :D

A Week With Friends

TGIS! Well, it's a Saturday and I'm off to meet my friends again. This week was fun because I have been with my different circle of friends. It's really really great to be with them again. I won't go much into details, but I'm just gonna show you the photos.

Wednesday Night

We watched New Moon (last full show) and had dinner at Ramboy's, @ the Boardwalk.

We had sisig, crispy pata, chopsuey and rice.

After dinner we went to Nothing But Desserts and had ice cream. mmm gellato!

Went to MO2, party and booze.

I saw my former officemate there, and he got me another drink.

It was 2am when we left the club. So we decided to have coffee at the Coffeebreak.

Hehehe waiting for my cappuccino to be delivered. :P

Thursday: Met up with my high school friends, we had coffee at Kopi Roti and talk about the upcoming high school reunion. too bad I haven't brought my camera with me. So no pictures. :(

Friday: Had dinner with former office mates at KFC. It was only the four of us, and we ordered two bucket meals. Yeah, gluttony! LOL

So later, I will be meeting my friends again, we might watch a movie and chill a little. Great time with friends indeed!

Fun Night With My BFF

Last night was uber fun with my BFF. We went out to have dinner at Afrique's @ The Avenue, Smallville, Iloilo. At first they wanted to dine at Crave Burger, but since I wanted to eat good pizza and carbonara, I forced them to eat at Afrique's.. and so we did. :D

After the wonderful dinner, I dragged them along with me to Nothing But Desserts, and again..forced them to eat ice cream (Gelato). It was too early to go home, so I suggested that we should go clubbing. We went to MO2 Ice, since they haven't been there yet. My legs and feet are sore for too much dancing hehehe.

Anyway, here are the pictures:

We went home past 3 am, but was not able to sleep right away. Instead, I went online to check my email and chat a little. I slept around 6 am, then got up at 8 am and went to school to pass the final output for our business plan proposal. Right now I feel sleepy.. so I guess I'm gonna take a nap just about now.

Friends Are Getting Married

For year 2009, some relatives and friends are getting married, and some are having a baby. It freaked me out every time I see their Facebook statuses with that.

I even plurked about it.

And last night, while my boyfriend and I were talking over the phone, he told me he might come home in December to attend a wedding. He did not tell me whose wedding, so I asked if it's a relative. Then I asked if it's Rina and her boyfriend because they are getting married this year too. He was like, "you don't know? Tomas and Caren are getting married in December." I was like stunned, because hey, another friend is getting married. I mean, what is with people this year? LOL! *kills self*.

Anyway, Tomas is my boyfriend's best friend, and a good friend of mine too. He's our common friend. Hectril and I were introduced to each other by him. I'm happy they're getting married, because I know the trials they have been through.

Here's an old picture taken by my boyfriend when we were still dating in 2007. With me is Tomas - the chaperone hahaha!

(Flow, Smallville [old location] )

So, after that conversation we talked about something important that made me happy. Oh well, can't wait for something exciting that is going to happen pretty soon.

Exams and Deadlines

I feel like I'm on the brink of a nervous breakdown. Today is the start of our midterm exams, in addition to that, I got a lot of deadlines to beat. School is shoving its foot up my ass.

On another note: I'm really gaining weight. Boo!
I just had dinner at my friend's house.
